North Korea has sent the biggest firework tribute to the Chinese New Year – a nuclear test. In response, Chinese netizens started to question their government’s North Korea policy and called for suspension of aid.

The case of China’s escaped blind human rights activist Chen Guangchen has brought Gary Locke, US ambassador to China, to the center of media bashing from Beijing. Chinese netizens come to Mr. Locke’s rescue and find him a solution – corruption.

In China’s diplomatic vocabulary, there is a very special title: “old friend of the Chinese people”. People can get a glimpse of the track of China’s diplomacy from the changes of how the term has been used. Over the past sixty years, a total of 601 people have ever been referred to as “an old friend of the Chinese people”. They came from 123 countries across five continents.
